Packaging lines can be remotely located to service more than one slitting line or can be located directly after a slitting line. Coil Cars

Entry End Coil Car

• Supports the coils and transfers it to the uncoiler.

• Robust welded steel frames.

• Hydraulic hold-down for narrow coils.

• Lift of 28", travel speed is 30 fpm, hoist speed of 1in/sec.

• Four-wheel drive. Wheels flanged and hardened.

• Self-contained on-board hydraulics.

• Pendant or remote control options.

• Power reel accessible for maintenance.

Exit End Coil Car

• Supports and transfers slit coils to a turnstile.

• Robust welded steel frames.

• Adjustable coil support arms for slit mults.

• Lift of 20", travel speed is 30 fpm, hoist speed of 1in/sec.

• Four-wheel drive. Wheels flanged and hardened.

• Self-contained on-board hydraulics.

• Pendant or remote control options.

• Outer housing easily removed for maintenance.

Turnstiles

Receives coils from the slitting line by coil transfer car. Some processors prefer a remotely located banding line with the coils transferred from the slitting line by overhead cranes and C-hooks.

Downenders

Coil downenders remove the coils from the turnstile arm.

Traveling (Pick and Place) Downender

• Traveling downenders minimize risks of coil ID marking and telescoping on the turnstile arm.

• Push-off is not needed on turnstile.

• Downenders are ideal for sensitive materials of any gauge or mult width.

• Automatic "Double Pick" routine for narrow mult widths is available for greater security.

• Downenders can be installed at floor level.

• Magnetic or vacuum stabilization for narrow mults.

• Choice of in-line discharge or 90º discharge.

• Coil width data input by keyboard or bar code scanner.

• Downenders work with Avon mult-tracking software.

• Reliable, consistent operation with user-friendly controls.

Fixed Position Downender

• Fixed position downenders operate with push-off style turnstile.

• Better suited for heavy gauge materials.

• Not recommended for light gauge sensitive materials.

• Simple operation with semi-automatic sequence control.

• Floor level installation.

• Choice of in-line discharge or 90º discharge.

• Reliable, consistent operation with user-friendly controls.

Sortation Tables

8-position Sortation Table

• 4-, 6-, 8- or 12-position turntables.

• 2- or 3-position shuttle cars.

• Smooth rotation by hydraulic motor driving pinion and gear (no chains). Provides better positioning accuracy.

• Table supported by floor mounted rollers and precision center bearing.

• Piping/conduit can be run on floor beneath table.

• Table position indexing from one position to any other, is automatic, by shortest route.

• Automatic skid placer option is available.
